Tranquil Trails Pgh
Website Design
Tranquil Trails LLC is a mental health practice located in Pittsburgh, PA. About a year into their work the owner and head therapist of the practice reached out to me inquiring about redesigning their website. She did not like how limiting the platform was that she originally used (a very specific therapy practice platform) but she did not know how to create or design a website any other way. So, we got to work.

The owner first shared the Tranquil Trails logo with me, not only to use on the website but also to use as inspiration for the website design:

So, from this logo I took inspiration for a few things:

Once I had these main elements of the website chosen I presented them to the Tranquil Trails owner for approval. She agreed to all of the design choices I had made thus far so we continued the process of designing the website by choosing what content she wanted to use.
Seeing as she already had a simple website through another platform we agreed to use all of that content on her new site to ensure a smooth transition for her clients. The content included: therapist bios, therapy approaches of the practice, along with the accepted insurances and fees.

Then she explained the additional content she wanted to include: a breakdown and explanations of the services provided at the practice as well as a form that prospective clients can fill out to request an appointment with a therapist (connected to each therapist's emails so they would be notified about a response). Finally, she wanted to include a Contact section that has several different ways people can interact with the practice (phone number, therapist emails, Instagram account, physical address).

Once all of the content for the website was confirmed I was able to work on the composition and layout. The owner and I agreed on creating a single-page website to ensure ease of use for the user, along with keeping the header of the website stuck at the top so the menu (connected to the site's different sections) is easily accessible. So, after compiling, writing, and adding all of the design elements and themes agreed upon, the final site was ready.
Finally, I made sure the website would also work in the mobile format.
